THE STOVERS | TAYLORVILLE IL WEDDINGS

Nothing touches my heart more than when I’m chosen to be apart of a couple’s wedding day by capturing it through my lens. One of the best parts? I get to see the groom look adoringly at his bride all. day. long. And it is amazing.

Gary and Rachel are clearly made for and smitten with each other. From the moment I arrived at Taylorville Christian Church in Taylorville, IL, I knew immediately the day was going to be nothing short of incredible. One of the COOLEST things was how the church held so much meaning to Rachel - her mom and sister had also been married at that church! How many people get to experience that? So awesome.

As I walked around the church before the ceremony, family and close friends were hustling and bustling all around the church making sure everything was in the right place, everyone was being helped and that every little detail was handled so that Gary & Rachel could rest and just enjoy the time before the ceremony. I spent most of my time before the ceremony with Rachel as she hung out with her bridesmaids and family in one of the rooms at the church. Gary was just down the hall with his guys, so it was always comical when Rachel needed to run out for a minute - it was like NO ONE MOVE! Team effort 100%. :) Did I mention they chose not to do a first look?? I love when couples chose to go the more traditional route when it comes to waiting to see each other until the ceremony - it adds an extra emotional element that I think is SO amazing to look back on and share with family and even their own children someday! And like I said… the way Gary looks at Rachel. I mean… #goals

The ceremony was perfect, and practically every single pew was packed from end to end with their loved ones who were so thrilled to be there. My absolute favorite part of the ceremony was during communion where the bride and groom partook themselves, but then also broke bread and served their parents. Such a rare moment - and shows just how much their faith means to them. <3

After the ceremony, we whisked off to Griswold Conservation Area in Blue Mound, IL where we got some super amazing images of the bride, groom and their bridal party. When the day was doomed with rain and storms, but blessed us with blue skies and white puffy clouds - ya can’t complain! We headed off to the reception which was at the Blue Mound Civic Center and I must say - the energy on the dance floor was INVIGORATING!!!! So full of life. And I loved being there to capture some hilarious moments!

Rachel and Gary, I wish you guys years and years of wedded bliss! You guys are incredible.

Now, for some of my personal favorites from the day!
